What did you struggle with academically? Was it one subject or a cluster of subjects? Did certain things not click with you while your classmates had zero issues with what they were learning and then suddenly a topic you knew really well they didn’t know well at all? Do you know where get hung up on things? For me I had fought all my life for my intelligence. I never ever go straight A’s in school. Like ever. I was in a few modified classes as well since I wasn’t up to speed as my peers but I wasn’t in the special needs classes I was technically a level above that and grateful that I wasn’t on that level. I fought hard to be in regular classes and still struggle to this day with my classes in college despite having graduated high school 15 years ago. But I still try. I know that I have a short attention span and I have an issue with not reading questions all the way through. I can remember it until I don’t and then I can’t remember any of it at all. I have always struggled with my intelligence academically while being smart every where else. But I do despise it a lot because had I been as bright as some as my peers I think I would have been better off. Now I know for a fact intelligence does come from your parents as well. My parents also struggled and I know my dad had to fight the same battle to remain intelligent to get anywhere but there were things that unfortunately got in the way and unfortunately led to his death. My mom she can’t be helped but she can survive as long as she’s not trying to move up on any corporate ladder in life. She doesn’t have that intelligence and while she doesn’t realize that, I do. That’s what I’m trying to avoid. I don’t want to end up like either of my parents and I don’t want to be on survival mode my whole life. Do you struggle with your intelligence?
